Privacy Policy

This is a working draft built to the strictest applicable standard (GDPR) as a baseline. It will be reviewed before the site's formal launch.

This policy explains what information this site collects, why, and how it is used, no matter where you are visiting from. It is written in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

If you sign up for the email newsletter, we collect your email address through our email provider, Kit. Signup uses double opt-in, meaning you receive a confirmation email and must click a link before you're added to any list. We only use your email to send the content you signed up for, and we keep a record of when and how you gave consent.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall site traffic. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect information that identifies you personally. Because no cookies are used, no cookie banner is needed.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, data brokers, or advertisers. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first, and where required, we will ask for your consent before it happens.

Calculator inputs

The numbers you enter into a calculator are processed entirely in your browser. They are never sent to our servers or seen by us, unless you choose to use a feature like Share Link, which encodes your inputs into a URL that only you control sharing.

Your rights

No matter where you live, you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, access a copy of it, correct it if it's wrong, ask us to delete it, withdraw consent at any time as easily as you gave it, and object to how it's used.

For email subscribers, you can unsubscribe yourself at any time using the link in every email. For any other request, contact us at hello@assetbaseline.com, and we will respond within 30 days.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out request where applicable.

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Where your data is processed

Your email address is processed by Kit and may be stored on servers located outside your country. Kit maintains its own data protection safeguards for this.
