This policy is written to the strictest applicable standard (GDPR) as a baseline, and applies no matter where you're visiting from.

This policy explains what information this site collects, why, and how it is used, no matter where you are visiting from. It is written in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

If you sign up for the email newsletter, we collect your email address through our email provider, Kit. Signup uses double opt-in, meaning you receive a confirmation email and must click a link before you're added to any list. We only use your email to send the content you signed up for, and we keep a record of when and how you gave consent.

We use analytics to understand overall site traffic — Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless, and Google Analytics. Google Analytics sets one first-party cookie to count visits and tell repeat visits apart. We have turned off all of Google's advertising features, so no advertising cookies are set and your activity is not used to target ads or tracked across other websites. Aggregate traffic data is processed by Cloudflare and Google on our behalf. If you are in a region that requires opt-in consent for analytics cookies, such as the EU, UK, EEA, or Switzerland, no analytics cookie is set at all, and Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode that counts visits without storing anything on your device. Everywhere else the single analytics cookie is on by default and you can decline it or clear it at any time. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out everywhere.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, data brokers, or advertisers. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first, and where required, we will ask for your consent before it happens.

Calculator inputs

The numbers you enter into a calculator are processed entirely in your browser. They are never sent to our servers or seen by us, unless you choose to use a feature like Share Link, which encodes your inputs into a URL that only you control sharing.

Your rights

No matter where you live, you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, access a copy of it, correct it if it's wrong, ask us to delete it, withdraw consent at any time as easily as you gave it, and object to how it's used.

For email subscribers, you can unsubscribe yourself at any time using the link in every email. For any other request, contact us at hello@assetbaseline.com, and we will respond within 30 days.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out request where applicable.

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Where your data is processed

Your email address is processed by Kit and may be stored on servers located outside your country. Kit maintains its own data protection safeguards for this.
